THE ORGANISATION FOR GROUP TRAVEL ORGANISERS
The Group Travel Organises Association
- the independent organisation representing the interests of those
who organise tours and trips for groups as well as those who provide
services for group travel.
GTOA
AIMS & BENEFITS
- To enhance the status and professionalism
of group travel organisers and the importance of their contribution
to the travel and leisure industry.
- To encourage the development of a national
network structured on regions and branches where organisers
can meet and work together for their mutual benefit.
- To represent the interests of group travel
organisers in the dealings with industry and official bodies.
- To help group organisers to improve their
buying power and provide consequential financial benefits to
the members of the organisations they represent.
- To provide a means for the different grades
of members to work together to mutual advantage.
- To negotiate various travel and leisure related
services for the benefit of all GTOA members and the organisations
they represent.
- To create an awareness and, where appropriate
to give advice about the commercial, legislative and emergency
conditions prevailing at any time in the travel industry's ever
changing environment so that group travellers' well being and
safety is paramount.

contacts for GTO members, with our Intermediate and Associate
Members, all of whom are providers to the travel trade and
to you, the organiser. |

and national and branch newsletters, with news of forthcoming
events, special offers from our Associate and Intermediate
members, together with members reports of their own trips.

A major benefit of GTOA membership.
Being in touch with other organisers, enables you to exchange
ideas, share trips and fill those last few places. |
| National Conference |
Prestigious National Conference and AGM
Weekend now a recognised event in the group travel calendar
over the fourth weekend in January. Plan your group's
programme at our Associate Members trade show and through
familiarisation visits over the weekend. |
| Promoting Group Travel
|
GTOA works to promote group travel for the
benefit of all our members. We work closely with Tourist
Boards, Tourist Partnerships and all interested parties. |
GTO MEMBERSHIP GTO
Membership is for those persons who are actively engaged with the
group travel arrangements for members of their organisation with
no personal financial gain.
Cost: £15 per annum.
ASSOCIATE MEMBERSHIP
Associate membership is for providers to the
travel industry i.e. Tour operator; Hotel Agency; Handling Agent;
Theatre Agency; Incoming Tour Operator; Hotel/Hotel Chain; Coach
Operator; Leisure/Theme facility; Travel Consultant; Insurance Company/Broker
etc.
Cost: £100 per annum plus £100 joining fee.
INTERMEDIATE
MEMBERSHIP Intermediate membership
is for providers trading below the prevailing VAT threshold.
Cost: £40 per annum.
