COMPANY PROFILE/HISTORY
The company started life some 18 years ago as a division of JAC Travel in London where it was known as the Leisure Services Division. The name JAC was derived from its founders initials. In November 1997 the division was purchased by John Gould who decided to carry on the tradition of using one's initials by calling the new company JAG Travel.

Prior to his days in the travel industry, John had spent most of his working life in the music industry where he started as a club DJ and owner of a record shop before taking up positions in London with EMI Records and MCA Records, where he was Promotions Manager. He then moved into Artist Management where he was responsible for elevating unknown artists Level 42 and Cutting Crew to international stardom.

Eventually John decided that he'd like to turn his hand to something different but in a way related to what he had been doing. Having organised World Tours for the artists he represented he decided he’d like to provide the same service for groups of a different kind and so founded JAG Travel.

Today JAG Travel is a well-respected company with a reputation for providing a professional and friendly service to clients that is second to none.

The Engineering, Petroleum, Computer and Motor Manufacturing Industry. Banks and other Financial Institutions, Insurance Companies and Government Departments.. to name but a few!

COACH & RAIL TOURS
These are generally to European destinations with transportation provided by executive coach or rail (Eurostar). Channel crossings are normally between Dover/Folkestone and Calais with P&O Ferries, SeaFrance or Eurotunnel (le Shuttle). Other crossings used include those between Harwich/Hook of Holland with Stena Line and Hull/Zeebrugge or Rotterdam with P&O Ferries. Crossings between the UK and the Republic of Ireland are between Hollyhead/Dublin or Fishguard/Roslaire with Stena Line and Irish Ferries. The hotels we use are centrally located so as to offer members of the groups independence and to avoid the inconvenience of transfers into and out of towns during their trips.

COACH OPERATORS
The vehicles used by JAG Travel are full specification 49/51/59/74 Seater Executive Coaches equipped with WC/Washroom, DVD Player, Hot Drinks Machine, PA System and Reclining Seats. Many now include Air-conditioning as standard.
